Green Team

The Green Team of Risen Savior began two years ago to explore ways to help ourselves and our parish "go green". One of the projects that emerged this past year was the creation of a Butterfly Garden in front of the church. This project was wildly popular with parishioners bringing in plants for the garden and helping with the planting on Memorial Day weekend. The garden has survived the summer winds, rains and storms and is well on its way to being an established garden. The volunteers have been instrumental in helping with the watering and weeding of the garden. 

The Green Team is seeking to promote lifestyles that promote conservation, using our resources wisely and diminishing our footprints on our plant earth.

If you feel you would be interested in joining our Green Team, come on the first Tuesday evening of the month here at Risen Savior. We meet from 6:30 to 8:00 and have fun while discussing our goals and organizing our projects.Our next meeting will be Tuesday January 5th at 6:30.

Goal this month: Awakening The Dreamer planning for the Symposium on the 17th. The symposium is a work shop program of the Pachamama Alliance.

In February the MRES will be bringing in Paul Hawken to speak at a dinner. There will be limited seating available and ticket prices will be less if you sign up to be a member of MRES. Check out the website. http://www.mresgala.org/
