First Eucharist

First Eucharist Preparation is for children who are second grade or older. Parents are the primary teachers of the children, using materials designed to help children prepare for the Sacrament. The parish supports the parents and the children during this period of preparation by providing an overview session for parents, large group sessions for parent and child, and other prayer experiences, in addition to a regular faith formation program (ie: GIFT).

Eucharist A:
Meets Saturdays, 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Jan.9, Feb.13, and March 6
Saturday,April 10, 2010 (9:30 - 11:30 a.m.)- Parent/child Retreat
 
Eucharist B:
Meets Tuesdays, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Jan. 5, Feb. 9, and Mar. 9
Saturday, April 10, 2010 (9:30 - 11:30 a.m.)-Parent/child Retreat
 
Rite of Enrollment:
January 23, 5pm Mass and
January 24, 9am & 11am Mass
All who are preparing for First Eucharist will be aknowledged by the parish at masses this weekend and supported in prayer during the year.

  • Saturday, April 24, 2010- 5:00 p.m. Mass
  • Sunday, April 25, 2010 - 9:00 & 11:00 a.m.Masses
  • Saturday, May 1, 2010 - 5:00 p.m. Mass
  • Sunday, May 2, 2010 - 9:00 & 11:00 a.m. Masses

Sign-ups for Mass choice will begin in January, 2010.

PARENT/CHILD SESSIONS

There are three Parent/Child Sessions in our First Eucharist program. This is the heart of our program. One of our parents stated: "Our program is the best because we get to know our child better and other children as well. The children are making friends in the small groups and they can receive communion together as a community."
